INTRODUCTION:

You have been hired as a reporter for the New York Times. The top journalist will win an award. Several endangered animals are looking for your help for public awareness. Remember their life depends on you!

TASK:

Your editor has assigned you to research an endangered animal. You will investigate the animal and its habitat online. You will present your information to the Chief Editor. You will have 3 minutes to convince the Chief Editor to print your report.

PROCESS:

Step 1

Choose an endangered animal from the list. Each student will choose a different animal.

Research your animal.

Find Out:

Where they are located, size, why they are endangered, and when they were

placed on the endangered list. Look for a picture of your animal.

Write an outline for your report.
