Teacher Notes

1.          In addition to information on the web, you will need to gather information from the school library on different people in the 2000 or 2002 Olympics.  From this selection you might introduce the unit by reading one of these books to the students.

2.          You might put together a sample poster.

3.          You might want to have access to a camera that the students might take pictures of themselves for their personal poster.

4.          Depending on the reading level of your students, you might have to assist the students when using the websites.

5.          The students may pair up to assist each other if needed.

6.          This lesson may take 1-2 weeks.
