Test Dates for 2009

The following is a list of the GED test dates for 2009.  All tests will be administered by Regional Office of Education personnel at the Regional Office of Education Conference Room located at 1714 Broadway from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm., unless otherwise noted.  Applicants should expect the test to take most if not all of the full day. 

To register for a testing date at the Jefferson County office, call 244-8040; for the Hamilton County office call 643-3314.

Potential applicants must provide two pieces of mail with their current mailing address, a photo ID such as their driver’s license or passport.  Potential applicants must fill out an application and pay for their test prior to testing day, before they will be allowed to take the test.

GED tests are given the second Friday of each month, unless the date falls on a holiday.  An alternative date is then picked.  Dates for the tests are published monthly in the Mt. Vernon and McLeansboro newspapers.

*These tests will be conducted at the Hamilton County Regional Office in McLeansboro.

All of this must be accomplished before the day of the test.
